MindSphere Gold Partner Patti Engineering will unveil a hands-on electronic High Striker game and co-present with Siemens

Auburn Hills, MI and Orlando, FL – October 15, 2018 – Patti Engineering, Inc., a leading control system integration company based in Auburn Hills, MI with offices in Texas and Indiana, today announced the company will demonstrate an electronic High Striker game, powered by MindSphere, the cloud-based, open Internet of Things (IoT) operating system from Siemens, in the Siemens Oktoberfest Biergarten at the Gartner ITxpo in Orlando, FL on October 15-18, 2018.  Patti Engineering has been a Siemens Solution Partner since 2009, and is certified in Automation, Drives, Industrial Strength Networks, and Industrial Identification modules.  In addition, Patti Engineering is a MindSphere Gold Partner, and was the first Hybrid Operational Technology (OT) Partner in the United States to expand its relationship with the Siemens Digital Factory Division into the MindSphere Partner Program.

The High Striker game integrates MindSphere into an electronic version of a classic carnival and Oktoberfest hammer game.  Sensors in the game hardware leverage the analytics capabilities of MindSphere in a fun, engaging manner. In addition, the demo showcases that all kinds of machines and systems can be connected quickly and easily to Siemens’ IoT operating system.  The user inputs his or her name and email address through a Siemens HMI, then swings the hammer twice.  Force is measured, scores are provided for each swing, and average force is calculated and then sent to the MindSphere cloud. This data will be visualized in a leaderboard display which shows the top scores during the entire event as well as the average force of the leaders’ two swings.

Patti Engineering will also co-present with Siemens at the Siemens session “How the IIoT Can Deliver a Triple Play for Industry” on October 16, 3:45-4:30 pm.  In this session, Siemens and Patti Engineering will show how the entertainment, brewing, and automotive industries are using IIoT technology, plus digital twins and advanced analytics, to gain more operational efficiency, speed, flexibility, quality, and visibility.

“We are excited to participate with Siemens at Gartner Symposium and ITxpo,” said Patti Engineering’s CEO Sam Hoff.  “We look forward to meeting attendees and sharing details about our work with Siemens and the MindSphere platform.”

MindSphere is the cloud-based, open IoT operating system from Siemens that connects products, plants, systems, and machines, enabling businesses to harness the wealth of data generated by the IoT with advanced analytics.

Note: MindSphere is a registered trademark of Siemens AG.
